Maybe a little rust remover?……

So, often it happens that we get really good at something, then we don’t do it for a loooooong time. This seems to happen a lot around farming and livestock. Last Fall I was shearing and doing quite well at it. I had had some instruction, time on the board and lots of sheep to work with.

However, over the Winter, I haven’t had the opportunity to practice and “keep my hand in” , as they say. Now, I’ve got a call from a customer that has sheep in a delicate condition and I can only hope that I’m up to the challenge.

Stretches…….videos……strange shearing poses and dry runs that look like a weird dance, to those who don’t know what I’m doing. Checking gear, talking my own little language to those passersby who have never thrown steel.
